There is no doubt there is a current wave of exodus from the UK which has been a repercussion of Brexit, Covid and Brexit AND Covid during a long and cold winter.  Everybody has had time to reflect. By forcibly being pushed off the treadmill of the day-to-day rat race where you don’t normally even have time to question your life choices, many have spent sleepless nights conjuring up their dream move; and impressively taken the jump.

It was the sudden daily enquiries from Europe that became a recent rife trend that prompted me to start my business from Bali in London, so technically Latitude Lifestyle is the living proof that many are looking further afield and thirsty for adventure.

The prime property market is always dependent on tax breaks in various locations and where some may have considered a move to Portugal for example, they are now looking to a complete culture change.   Because why not, the laptop lifestyle is now a proven work ethic.

The first consideration when uplifting you and your family’s lives is schooling.  What is the best experience you can offer your children if uprooting them from their friends and all that they know? Bali has been a massive magnet for those who have recently sold business or are working remotely and running their businesses from afar because of the unique school for changemakers; The Green School.  The environment, social responsibility and change for the better is the second and only subject on the news since Brexit & Covid simultaneously hit, and this school’s focus is exactly that.  Forming well rounded, mindful & conscientious children surrounded by important conversations.

A villa is sold to an expat in general on a leasehold basis which the British are very accustomed to. Furthermore, Bali’s property market is an interesting one with a rental market that ticks over all year round due to its location being only a few hours from Asia’s main cities.  Your investment is far more interesting when you do the figures, even on a leasehold basis with much higher returns than a property in France, that you can only let out for 6 months of the year and also obstructs your own use of it.

£500,000 to a million pounds gets you much further in Bali, offering an outstanding property with space and wow factor that in Europe the same size and build would cost you double the price, if not more. The market is competitive for good houses as it’s a question of supply and demand, and the demand is ever rising, but there is no doubt about it, there are great deals to be snapped up and there is much more bang for your buck!!

The life-swap from city claustrophobia to children running and surfing on the beach before or after school was but a dream to most until now; that dream is becoming a reality to more and more every day.
